What happened
The DPA held that under Article 15 GDPR, a data subject cannot request that the bar association provides them with a copy of entire documents containing information about a third party, i.e. the lawyer reported to the bar by the data subject. Therefore, the DPA also considered the confidentiality of the disciplinary proceedings against the lawyer.
