What happened
The Danish DPA (Datatilsynet) held that a website's cookie consent mechanism did not gather valid consent, as it only displayed a "Allow all cookies" button. Not clicking the button and continuing to use the website was seen as consent to marketing cookies, which the DPA confirmed was illegal. The DPA also considered the new design of the website's consent mechanism and encouraged the controller to reconsider the option it chose.
