What happened

The Icelandic DPA issued an advisory opinion clarifying the interplay between the Information Act and the Privacy Act which implements the GDPR in Iceland. The DPA clarified that the information in question is personal data and that processing of personal data requires a legal ground as per Article 6 GDPR.
